Mike Howard named North Alabama market president and chief executive officer at North Alabama Medical Center and North Alabama Shoals Hospital

and, part of 有料盒子APP, are pleased to announce the appointment of Mike Howard as the new market president and chief executive officer (CEO), effective immediately. Howard, who has been serving as interim CEO since September, brings a deep understanding of the facilities and the community, having previously served as chief operating officer from 2015 to 2022.

With 28 years of healthcare leadership experience, Howard has demonstrated a consistent ability to enhance quality care, improve operational efficiencies, and foster strong organizational cultures. His leadership has been instrumental in achieving higher quality ratings, increasing patient safety scores, and engaging staff to create a positive work environment. Howard has also earned recognition for his ability to foster innovation, build collaborative and highly effective teams, and achieve impactful outcomes that enhance patient care and community health.

An advocate for community engagement, Howard has collaborated with civic and professional organizations such as the Rotary Club, YMCA, and the American Heart Association, demonstrating his commitment to building strong community relationships.

Howard holds an MBA from Texas A&M University-Commerce and a Bachelor of Science in Business (Cum Laude) from Bethel University, along with an Advanced Respiratory Care Practitioner certification. His clinical background and extensive leadership experience reflect North Alabama Medical Center's commitment to providing exceptional care and advancing healthcare in the community.
